What’s In Your Marketing Recipe?

Even if in the same industry, no two complanies are alike, and based on the company’s specific needs – the marketing recipe must be adjusted accordingly. And what works for one business, might not be as effective for another.

A smart, 360-degree mix of paid, earned and owned action is typically best, but for example, the marketing action priority list is different for a Caribbean resort versus a Texas-based homebuilder. While both need leads, large, qualified email databases, sticky websites with compelling blogs – a Caribbean resort may rely on strategic media relations more than a homebuilder. It’s not that a homebuilder won’t benefit from a smart media relations campaign, but it might not be as much of a priority as it is for a tropical resort isolated in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. And consider consumer behavior – people are more likely to reference Travel + Leisure magazine ahead of their next vacation than a homebuilder media outlet for their remodel.

In order of importance and based on a specific anticipated outcome – what is most important to your company? And like a good soup recipe, what goes in your marketing receipe?
